Fishing may seem like a waste of time, but it's easy to do, virtually free and pretty safe (as long as you tuck yourself away in a quiet corner!). While it won't earn you a fortune, there are a few fishable items (needed for quests & tradeskills) which will usually sell for a tidy sum. If you're in the right zone and LFG or waiting for a long pop, it can be a pleasant way to while away the minutes.

Strictly for newbies! If you're stuck for cash and too weak to fight, fishing can be a pleasant alternative to begging - especially if you've been foraging a load of fishing grubs! Just make sure that your catch isn't worth more in the Bazaar before selling it to an NPC.
